Nutrigenomics and Acne

Nutrigenomics and Acne - with Chloe Manlay NT Acne has a strong genetic basis, with studies suggesting that genetics account for up to 81% of its development, influencing factors like sebum production, inflammation, and follicular structure. Although genes play a role in acne they are not destiny – environmental factors (diet, stress, skincare) can turn genes on or off, determining how genetic predisposition manifests. Our guest presenter Chloe Manlay will discuss her use of nutrigenomics in clinical practice enabling clients to work with their genes rather than against them. Chloe Manlay Chloe holds a BSc (Hons) in Nutritional Therapy from the University of Westminster and has pursued extensive postgraduate training including the Institute of Functional Medicine's AFMCP programme, nutrigenomics with Lifecode Gx, SIBO protocols with leading experts, and embodied therapy approaches. Her work represents over 10 years of study, clinical practice, and continuous professional development; all grounded in the practical wisdom that comes from having walked the same challenging path as her clients. Her approach goes beyond skin-deep, addressing hormones, gut health, stress management, and the environmental factors that impact our largest organ.
